Mastering the Pin Editor: Layouts & templates

Learn how to customize your templates and let the AI generate high-CTR content in seconds.

Each Workspace in Pinalofy is completely independent. This means that every Workspace you create has its own dedicated library of Templates, its own Asset folder (logos, arrows, buttons), and its own Brand Palette.

1. Accessing your Templates

To customize your design system:Select the Workspace you want to work on from the top menu.

Navigate to Settings > Templates.

Here you will see the 10+ layouts available.

You can duplicate them, edit the structure, or create new ones from scratch using the Personal Template Graphic option.

2. How the Template Editor Works

When you open a template, you are in the Text Editor. You are not "generating" content here; you are building the structure.

Placeholders: You create text boxes and assign them a specific role (Title, Subtitle, or Label).

Styling: For every text box, you set the Font, Font Size, Line Height, Bold/Italic, Color, and Border Radius.The Logic: You are telling Pinalofy: "Every time I generate a Pin, put the Title in this specific font, color, and position."

Content Strategy (The AI Brain): For every text box, you must select a strategy from the dropdown menu on the right. This tells the AI how to write the text for that specific box during generation:

Standard (AI Generated): The AI writes a standard, SEO-optimized title or description based on your URL.
Question / Hook: Forces the AI to write a catchy question to stop the scroll.
Quote Style: The AI extracts a key concept and formats it as a shareable quote.
Call to Action: The AI writes an action-oriented phrase (e.g., "Click here", "Read the guide").
Static Text (Locked): The AI will do nothing. The exact text you type here (like your website name yourdomain.com) will remain fixed on all generated Pins.

Consistency: The system respects exactly these settings for every single Pin created. If you change a font in the template, all future Pins using that layout will automatically update to reflect your new design.

Visual Placeholders: Inside the editor, you will see default images (e.g., landscapes, product photos). These are placeholders.
They are only there to help you visualize how your final Pins will look.

You don't need to worry about them: when you generate your Pins from a URL, Pinalofy will automatically replace these placeholders with the images extracted from your website. You are only designing the "container" your content will provide the "substance."

Adding Logos, Arrows, and Emojis

To customize your templates, go to the Assets section. Under Media Library Brand Logo (Cloud), you can upload your own custom graphics, such as logos, arrows, or CTA buttons in JPG, PNG, or SVG formats. Since every workspace is independent, these files are saved directly to your specific ImageKit cloud.

You don't need to upload emojis; a standard library of emojis is available by default inside the editor.

There are two phases for managing these visual elements:

1. The Design Phase (Template Editor)
Here you set up your base layout. You can drag your uploaded logos, arrows, or standard emojis onto the canvas. You can rotate, resize, and align them exactly where you want them to appear on your future Pins.

2. The Generation Phase
After Pinalofy generates the actual Pins from your URL, your visual assets are not permanently locked. In this phase, you still have full control: you can modify, reposition, or completely delete any logo, arrow, or emoji on any individual Pin before you save it.
